J.M. (John) Jannis has dedicated his life to touching the spirit of others through the power of music. John began his musical journey when he was only six years old, first learning piano, then teaching himself to play the organ. Furthering his education, he earned his B.A. in Music from UMass Dartmouth before going on to achieve his Master of Music Education degree from Bridgewater State University. John began to "Sing to God Joyfully" at the age of fifteen, when he became an organist at various churches on Martha's Vineyard. He has since taken on roles of varying degrees with numerous churches throughout New England, leading him to his current role as Director of Music at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in North Falmouth, Ma. After the Masses have been celebrated, John continues to inspire and be inspired as he helps others along their musical journey.
"St. Augustine once said, 'He who sings, prays twice.' So let us pray!
